Naples to Host ‘Life for Gaza – People for Peace’ Event

Naples, Campania, Italy – On June 20th, starting at 6:00 PM, the former NATO Base in Bagnoli, now Parco San Laise, will transform into a vibrant hub for “Life for Gaza – People for Peace.” This significant event will bring together artists, cultural figures, activists, representatives from various associations, and citizens in a collective appeal against war and for the universal value of peace.

This initiative follows three previous concert-events organized by Life for Gaza and numerous flash mobs that have taken place in Naples over recent months. The upcoming edition will gain an international dimension through its connection with London, where the Stop the War Coalition will host an event at Central Hall Westminster, and with Florence, which will see the “SOS Palestine” demonstration supported by Piero Pelù.

A Star-Studded Lineup for Peace

The stage will feature some of the most renowned voices in Italian music and entertainment. Among the announced artists are Max Gazzè, Piotta, Bestierare, Elisabetta Serio & Sarah Jane Morris, Foja, Roberto Colella, Maldestro, Lucariello, La Famiglia, Bisca, Ciccio Merolla, Dadà, Capone & BungtBang, Davide Ddl, Greta Zuccoli, Vesuviano & Radici, Morena Chiara, and the Fronte Murguero Campano.

Beyond music, the event will also dedicate space to theater, satire, and civic narration, with contributions from prominent figures such as Ascanio Celestini, Lino Musella, Sabina Guzzanti, Massimiliano Gallo, and Peppe Lanzetta. From the world of culture and public commitment, insights and testimonies will be provided by Francesca Albanese, Gabriele Salvatores, Mimmo Lucano, Luisa Morgantini, Giuliano Granato, Flavia Carlini, Edoardo Castaldo, Luigi de Magistris, and Omar Suleiman.

A Space for Participation and Creativity

The entire area of the former NATO Base will be transformed into a dynamic space for participation and creativity. The program includes thematic exhibitions dedicated to Palestine, fifteen urban art installations, street art performances, and live painting sessions that will engage the public throughout the afternoon leading up to the main performances.

Representatives from various organizations will also be present, including the Palestinian Community, the Global Sumud Flotilla, Mediterranea Saving Humans, the Gazzella Association, the Palestinian Medical Relief Society, the Global Movement to Gaza, and Assopace Palestina. They will share direct testimonies and provide updates on the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

The evening’s proceedings will be hosted by Dalal Suleiman and Sara Lotta.

Supporting Education in Gaza

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Gazzella Odv Association. These funds will be used for the creation and setup of field schools in the Gaza Strip, supporting educational activities for children affected by the ongoing conflict.

The event underscores a strong commitment from the Neapolitan community and beyond to advocate for peace and provide tangible support to those impacted by the conflict in Gaza.
