Kellogg’s Minibasket Tour 2026 Returns to Rome, Emphasizing Inclusivity with Baskin

Rome, Lazio, Italy – The Kellogg’s Minibasket Tour is set to launch its second edition in Rome on May 9 and 10, 2026, at the Parco della Cecchina. This initiative, a collaborative effort between the Italian Basketball Federation (FIP) and Kellogg’s, aims to engage approximately 3,000 children across Italy, promoting balanced nutrition and active lifestyles. The inaugural stop in Rome will also feature a demonstration of Baskin, an inclusive form of basketball.

A Nationwide Tour Promoting Health and Sport

Following the success of its first edition, the Kellogg’s Minibasket Tour will embark on an extensive journey across Italy, visiting seven additional cities after its Roman debut: Brindisi, Milan, Pesaro, Pistoia, Reggio Emilia, Turin, and Trento. The tour will utilize nine playgrounds that have been refurbished by Kellogg’s since 2023, strengthening community ties and local engagement.

The primary objective of the tour is to encourage physical activity and healthy eating habits among young participants. The Rome leg of the tour, organized in partnership with the FIP Lazio Regional Committee, is expected to host over 600 mini-athletes from local clubs over the two days.

Baskin Integration Highlights Inclusivity

A significant highlight of the Rome event on the morning of May 9 will be a Baskin Junior demonstration match and an Open Day Baskin. This inclusive sport will feature teams from ASD SS Lazio Baskin Roma and ASD Baskin Sabina Monterotondo, with the support of EISI – Ente Italiano Sport Inclusivi (Italian Inclusive Sport Organization). This addition underscores the tour’s commitment to inclusivity, respect, and team spirit – values central to both FIP and Kellogg’s.

Strengthening Partnership and Youth Development

The partnership between FIP and Kellogg’s has deepened this year, with Kellogg’s also becoming the title sponsor for the Youth Championships and their respective National Finals. This collaboration extends beyond national borders, as Kellogg’s is also a partner of the National Basketball Association (NBA) in Europe, supporting Jr. NBA youth programs in several countries.

Kellanova’s Commitment to Community and Well-being

Kellanova (NYSE: K), a global leader in snacks, breakfast cereals, noodles, and frozen foods, is the driving force behind the Kellogg’s brand. With a legacy spanning over a century, Kellanova’s vision is to be the world’s best-performing snack company. The company emphasizes creating “better days” and ensuring food access for all, addressing issues such as food poverty, sustainability, well-being, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
