International Interpreter Found Brutally Murdered in Milan Apartment: Investigations Focus on Intimate Encounter and Dating Apps

Milan, June 14, 2026 – Roberto Guerrino, a 60-year-old international conference interpreter, was discovered brutally murdered in his apartment in Milan’s NoLo district on Saturday. The victim was found semi-naked with a fractured skull, prompting investigators to explore the possibility that the murder occurred during or immediately after an intimate encounter. The incident has sent shockwaves through the neighborhood and among Guerrino’s acquaintances.

Discovery of the Body and Initial Findings

Guerrino’s body was found lying supine on the floor, his skull fractured, with significant blood traces throughout the apartment. He was clad only in fishnet stockings, a bustier, and high heels. These details immediately led investigators to focus on a personal motive, suggesting an intimate context for the crime. The apartment, located on Via Nino Oxilia near Piazzale Loreto, showed no signs of forced entry or robbery, indicating that the killer may have had access to the apartment or left without disturbing the premises.

The 60-year-old, who would have turned 61 in a month, was reportedly struck on the head with a blunt object, possibly an ornament from his home, which carabinieri from the Milan Provincial Command are still searching for. The murder is believed to have taken place in the late hours of Friday or early Saturday morning, although no neighbors reported hearing any screams or disturbances. Guerrino’s body was discovered in the early afternoon on Saturday, but forensic analysis suggests he had been dead for at least twelve hours.

Alert and Investigation

The alarm was raised by Guerrino’s ex-partner, who lives in Genoa and had been in daily contact with him. When he couldn’t reach Guerrino since Friday, he alerted the victim’s relatives. Guerrino’s niece also attempted to contact him multiple times without success, eventually leading to a call to 112. Carabinieri and firefighters responded to the scene. Access to the apartment was gained without force, as an elderly neighbor, who often watered Guerrino’s plants when he traveled, possessed a spare set of keys. The armored door was found to be locked with multiple bolts, leading investigators to hypothesize that the killer used and took Guerrino’s keys after the murder.

Authorities are currently analyzing CCTV footage from the surrounding area, a district known for its lively weekend activity, in hopes of identifying potential suspects or gleaning further clues about the perpetrator’s movements. Biological traces from a sexual encounter are also being examined. Concurrently, investigations are focusing on dating apps and chat histories, which could prove crucial in reconstructing Guerrino’s final hours and identifying anyone he may have met recently.

Victim’s Profile and Community Reaction

Roberto Guerrino was a well-known international interpreter with an impressive resume, having worked for prominent figures such as former US President Bill Clinton, King Charles of England, and Italian Presidents Giorgio Napolitano and Sergio Mattarella. Neighbors described him as a “kind person, gentle with everyone” and stated that “no one ever had problems with him.” The violent nature of his death has deeply shocked the condominium residents.

This tragic event underscores the vulnerabilities that can arise from intimate encounters, particularly those arranged through online platforms. The ongoing investigation aims to bring clarity to the circumstances surrounding Guerrino’s death and to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for this brutal crime.
