Pomezia, June 15 – A dispute described as a “clarifying” meeting between former in-laws in Pomezia on Sunday morning, June 14, escalated into a brutal beating and an attempted murder. Three individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident, which saw a man violently assaulted and three gunshots fired.
Carabinieri Intervene After Violent Confrontation
The incident unfolded in Via delle Monachelle. According to reports, four individuals had arranged to meet at the location. The victim, who is the brother of the ex-girlfriend of one of the aggressors, bore the brunt of the confrontation. An animated discussion, the details of which are still under investigation, quickly turned violent. The man was severely beaten, and subsequently, one of his rivals fired three shots. The bullets struck the metal sheeting of a shed, narrowly missing the victim.
Victim Hospitalized, Suspects Apprehended
The injured man was transported to a hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, Carabinieri from the Pomezia company immediately launched a search for the three assailants, who had initially fled the scene. Through rapid investigation, the Carabinieri successfully located and identified the individuals. One of the suspects has been arrested on charges of attempted murder, while the other two face charges of complicity in attempted murder. All three have been transferred to Velletri prison.
