Wine&Thecity Transforms Chiaia into a Vibrant Festival of Wine, Music, and Boutiques

Naples, May 23 – The Chiaia district of Naples was abuzz yesterday evening, May 22, 2026, as the 18th edition of Wine&Thecity transformed its streets and courtyards into a vibrant, widespread aperitif. From 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, over fifty locations participated in this unique event, merging wine culture with local entrepreneurship and quality craftsmanship.

Wine&Thecity: A Festival of Connections

The format, conceived by journalist Donatella Bernabò Silorata, continues its mission to energize shopping areas, streets, and courtyards in a festive and communal manner. This year’s edition saw a common language spoken across more than fifty venues, each hosting a winery and offering a distinct wine for tasting. The event also featured live music, new fashion collections, engaging encounters, food samplings, and themed installations, all infused with a distinctive Neapolitan flair.

Journey Through Chiaia: From Via Crispi to Piazza Amedeo

The festivities commenced on Via Crispi at Flavia Palombo Handmade atelier, where guests enjoyed wines from Tenuta Augustae. The journey continued towards Piazza Amedeo, with a notable stop at Ricciardi, which offered a DJ set, culinary delights, and sparkling wines from Radici Vive 891.

Via Vittoria Colonna: Art and Degustations

Descending into the aristocratic Via Vittoria Colonna, attendees were drawn to the intriguing ‘Sex&Thecity’ exhibition by Gennaro Regina, a captivating blend of studio and showroom. Here, guests sampled wines from Agricola Bellaria. Further along, Engel&Völkers hosted music, finger food, and wines from Cantina Bello, creating a lively atmosphere.

San Pasquale: Scents, Journeys, and Local Flavors

The event then led to Via San Pasquale, where Le Zirre Napoli showcased new seasonal colors alongside wines from Salvatore Martusciello. Sisimbro presented a perfume line dedicated to the iconic Prince Antonio de Curtis, famously known as Totò, complemented by wines from Cantine di Marzo.

Fashion, Travel, and Summer Collections

In Piazza San Pasquale, 14° Poerio Travel Agency discussed travel opportunities with Sorrentino Vesuvio. On Via Carducci, ROG unveiled the MAUA project with wines from Agricola Aglaia, while Blunauta presented its summer collection paired with wines from Feudi di San Gregorio.

Jewels and Bubbles in Chiaia’s Alleys

Vico II Alabardieri saw Alessandra Libonati Jewels introduce Skincon to friends and tourists, accompanied by sparkling wines from La Molara.

Live Jazz and Toasts on Via Cavallerizza

The celebration intensified on Via Cavallerizza at number 46, where Lallilab shop and Postiglione jewelry hosted a live performance by the Jazz Pad Trio, featuring Dario Spinelli on bass and Alessandro Godono on drums. Guests toasted with wines from Cantine dell’Averno and Pippo Greco.

The Siren of Naples: An Artistic Tribute

At Nino Postiglione’s jewelry workshop, many women were eager to discover their own ‘siren’ among his creations, a tribute to the Greek mythological siren, founder of Naples. “We need connections between artists around creative spaces,” stated Nino Postiglione, emphasizing the collaborative spirit of the event.

Community, Art, and Ceramics Conclude the Evening

The night continued with dancing and toasts at Pensiero Verde at number 57, featuring the red Tatanni wine from Casino di Salada, Panzano. At the Ritrovare il tempo Association, the atmosphere of community was palpable, with wines from Famiglia Pagano 1968. “For 20 years, this association has offered painting and restoration courses for adults, but above all, it is a multicultural and inclusive space for quality time,” said Valeria Boccarossa, the laboratory director.
