Naples, Italy – Two separate incidents of violence in the eastern periphery of Naples and its northern hinterland left two minors injured overnight. Police and Carabinieri are actively investigating both cases.

Road Rage Incident Leads to Shooting, Two Minors Wounded

The first incident occurred around 3:30 AM at Ponte dei Francesi, between the Ponticelli and San Giovanni a Teduccio districts. Preliminary investigations suggest a road dispute between two cars escalated into a chase and gunfire. One of the passengers from the second vehicle reportedly fired shots, injuring two 17-year-olds in the other car. One was hit in the right leg, the other in the left arm.

The injured teenagers were transported to Ospedale del Mare by the driver of their car. Their conditions are not critical, and they are not in life-threatening danger. Police officers interviewed the youths at the hospital to gather information for identifying the perpetrators. Investigators are also reviewing surveillance footage from the area, which could be crucial in reconstructing the events and identifying the vehicle from which the shots were fired.

17-Year-Old Stabbed in Northern Naples Province

Hours earlier, around 12:50 AM, law enforcement responded to another incident in the northern province of Naples. Carabinieri from the mobile radio section and the Afragola station were called to Via Pietro Nenni following reports of an injured minor.

According to initial, unverified reports, a 17-year-old local boy on his scooter was approached by other teenagers, also on scooters, who pursued him and then stabbed him in the right thigh. The young man was taken to Frattamaggiore hospital, and his injuries are not severe.

Carabinieri are conducting investigations to determine the exact dynamics of the assault and to identify those responsible.

These incidents highlight a concerning trend of violence involving minors in the region, prompting increased efforts from local authorities to ensure public safety.
