Two Arrested in Naples for Fatal Shooting Over Trash Dispute
Naples, June 6, 2026 – Two individuals have been taken into custody following a preliminary detention order issued by the Torre Annunziata Prosecutor’s Office (Public Prosecutor Emilio Prisco) in connection with the murder of Salvatore Solimene, 46. Solimene died after sustaining serious gunshot wounds yesterday afternoon in Boscotrecase, a town in the province of Naples.
According to initial reports, the homicide was the culmination of a condominium dispute that escalated over trivial reasons: the placement of garbage bags.

The detention orders for murder were served by the Carabinieri of Trecase to Fulvio Titas, 33, and Antonio Guastafierro, 27. Guastafierro is alleged to be the shooter, having used a 9mm pistol with a defaced serial number during the altercation. The Carabinieri of the Torre Annunziata investigative unit have seized the weapon, four unspent cartridges, three shell casings, and the suspects’ mobile phones. Solimene’s body has been taken for autopsy, while the two arrested men have been transferred to a prison in Naples.
