Two Arrested for Attempted Murder in Naples Mafia-Style Ambush
Naples, May 5 – Two individuals have been arrested in connection with an attempted murder that occurred on April 17 in the Marianella district of Naples. The arrests, carried out by the Carabinieri of the Naples Vomero Company’s Operational Unit on April 28, follow an extensive investigation coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Naples – D.D.A. (District Anti-Mafia Directorate). The victim of the attack was Vincenzo LO RUSSO, identified as the nephew of the regents of the “Lo Russo – Capitoni” clan, which operates in the northern area of Naples. The ambush took place in the “Siberia” neighborhood within the Marianella district.

Following the initial arrests, an order for a precautionary measure was issued against the two apprehended individuals and a third member of the criminal organization, who is currently at large. The authorities are actively pursuing the third suspect.
