Milan, May 23 – The van belonging to Special Arluno, a non-profit organization that runs a football school and sports center for intellectually and mentally disabled athletes in the province of Milan, has been recovered. The vehicle, crucial for the athletes’ transport, had been stolen from via Donatori Volontari del Sangue 10, in Arluno, between Thursday, May 21, and Friday, May 22.
Public Appeal Leads to Discovery
The recovery followed a public appeal launched by the non-profit and amplified by Corriere della Sera on its social media channels. A reader contacted the newspaper’s editorial office, providing a photograph of the van, which was easily identifiable by the association’s logos prominently displayed on its hood and sides. The reader had spotted the vehicle parked in front of the Eurospin supermarket on via Litta Modignani, in the Affori area of Milan.
Quick Response and Relief
Upon being immediately notified, the representatives of Special Arluno rushed to the location to retrieve their vehicle. The van was found to be in good condition, with only a bag of new footballs, a Telepass device, and a few other items missing from its interior.
