Napoli-Bologna Match: Extended Public Transport Hours for Fans

NAPLES, ITALY – Public transport in Naples is set to offer extended hours for football fans attending the Napoli-Bologna Serie A match on Monday, May 11th, at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, which kicks off at 8:45 PM. This initiative, a collaboration between Trenitalia (FS Group), the Campania Region, and the Municipality of Naples, aims to ensure a smoother flow of spectators.

Metro Line 2: Extraordinary Services and Important Information

Trenitalia will operate 7 extraordinary metropolitan train services on Metro Line 2, adding a total of 3,400 extra seats. These services will depart from the Napoli Campi Flegrei station:

  • Five services will run towards Napoli San Giovanni-Barra.
  • Two services will run towards Pozzuoli.

To avoid queues and facilitate travel, passengers are strongly advised to purchase train tickets in advance. Tickets can be bought digitally via the Trenitalia website, app, or at ticket offices, reducing the need for paper tickets.

Assistance and Station Information:

  • Customer assistance points will be available at Napoli Piazza Garibaldi and Napoli Campi Flegrei stations.
  • FS Security personnel, in collaboration with law enforcement, will direct passengers to the correct platforms.
  • Only passengers with a valid travel ticket will be allowed on board.
  • The Napoli Campi Flegrei ticket office will remain open until the end of the event.
  • The Piazza Leopardi station will be closed from 9:45 PM onwards.

Cumana Services Also Extended

As is customary for evening Napoli matches, EAV has also arranged for extended train services on the Cumana line for the May 11th match. These extraordinary trains will supplement the regular schedule.

  • Departures every 15 minutes from 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM (midnight)
  • Specific departure times: 7:00 PM, 7:15 PM, 7:30 PM, 7:45 PM, 8:00 PM, 8:15 PM, 8:30 PM, 8:45 PM, 9:00 PM, 9:15 PM, 9:30 PM, 9:45 PM, 10:00 PM, 10:15 PM, 10:30 PM, 10:45 PM, 11:00 PM, 11:15 PM, 11:30 PM, 11:45 PM, 12:00 AM.

From Torregaveta to Mostra:

  • Departures: 7:35 PM, 8:05 PM, 8:35 PM, 9:05 PM, 9:35 PM, 10:05 PM, 10:35 PM, 11:05 PM, 11:35 PM.

From Mostra to Bagnoli:

  • Departures: 7:10 PM, 7:40 PM, 8:10 PM, 8:40 PM, 9:10 PM, 9:40 PM, 10:10 PM, 10:40 PM, 11:10 PM, 11:40 PM, 12:10 AM.

From Mostra to Torregaveta:

  • Departures: 10:25 PM, 10:55 PM, 11:25 PM, 11:55 PM.
