A Journey Through a Century of Football History

The exhibition will offer visitors a unique opportunity to delve into a hundred years of football history, starting from 1930 to the present day. It will showcase over 200 original memorabilia, representing iconic figures and moments that have shaped the sport. Legendary names such as Puskas, Pelé, Beckenbauer, Riva, Cruijff, Zoff, Baggio, Zidane, Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Lamine Yamal will be celebrated through a rich collection of artifacts.

Special Tribute to Diego Armando Maradona

A significant portion of the exhibition will be dedicated to the Argentine football legend, Diego Armando Maradona. This special section is organized in collaboration with the Maradona Museum of Massimo Vignati, the Nr Museum of Nicola and Enzo Raccuglia, and the renowned professor Bruno Siciliano and his staff. It promises to be a poignant tribute to one of football’s most revered figures, deeply connected to the city of Naples.

Inauguration and Special Guest

The inauguration of “A Century of Azzurro” is scheduled for June 5. The event will feature a special testimonial, Pedro Pablo Pasculli, who will exclusively bring a replica of the World Cup trophy won by Argentina in Mexico in 1986, famously captained by Maradona.

Promoters and Patrons

The exhibition is promoted by the S.Anna Association for Sport, which represents interests in the Chamber of Deputies, led by Aldo Rossi Merighi and Sabrina Trombetti. Mauro Grimaldi, CEO of Federcalcio Servizi, is curating the event. It is also proudly sponsored by prestigious organizations including the FIGC (Italian Football Federation), CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee), and ANCI (National Association of Italian Municipalities).

Part of Naples European Capital of Sport 2026 Initiatives

This significant exhibition is one of the key initiatives planned for Naples European Capital of Sport 2026, highlighting the city’s commitment to promoting sports and culture. The event aims to attract both local residents and international tourists, offering a rich and engaging experience for all ages.
