Naples Opens ‘Health and Sport Village’: Three Days of Tennis, Specialist Visits, and Guests
Naples, May 21, 2026 – From May 22 to 24, 2026, the city of Naples will host the ‘Health and Sport Village’ at the Tennis Club Napoli and along Lungomare Caracciolo. This event marks the second stage of the 2026 ‘Tennis & Friends – Health and Sport’ tour, a significant initiative dedicated to promoting sport, prevention, and healthy lifestyles. The event is organized in collaboration with the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation and is part of the official calendar for Naples European Capital of Sport 2026.
Program and Specialist Medical Screenings
The program kicks off on Friday, May 22, 2026, with a full day dedicated to schools. Students will have the opportunity to experience the magic of the sport village, participating in recreational and educational activities focused on health and physical activity. On the same day, ‘Tennis & Friends’ will bring FITP technicians and ambassadors to the Pediatric Oncology department of Santobono Hospital to engage with hospitalized children and teenagers who cannot attend the main event.
On Saturday, May 23, at 10:00 AM, the ‘Health and Sport Village’ at Lungomare Caracciolo will open its doors to the general public. It will remain open until 6:00 PM on both Saturday and Sunday, offering over 30 specialist medical screenings. These include auxoendocrinology, cardiology, nephrology, cervical cancer screenings, and diabetology. The village will feature several leading healthcare institutions from the Campania region, such as the National Cancer Institute IRCCS Fondazione G. Pascale, Santobono Hospital, and the A.O. Universitaria Luigi Vanvitelli.
Beyond Health: Guests and Entertainment
The village extends its focus beyond prevention to include sport, with 20 Federations present in the Sport Village, including the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation, the Italian Cycling Federation, the Italian Badminton Federation, and the Fiamme Azzurre sports group.
Alongside health prevention, significant attention will be given to sport and entertainment, thanks to the presence of numerous ambassadors. Some of these personalities will compete for the “A Volley for Health” trophy.
