Milan, February 1 – On Friday evening, January 30, the Milan local police carried out an extensive series of road checks across the city. The operation, which involved 80 officers, focused on areas between Piazza Napoli and Piazza Emilia, lasting from 8:30 PM until 3:00 AM.

Extensive Controls Yield Significant Results

The large-scale operation resulted in the screening of 719 individuals and 478 vehicles. Local police officers issued 65 fines for various traffic code violations and revoked five driving licenses. A significant concern emerged as two individuals were found driving under the influence of alcohol, and three tested positive for drug use.

In addition to drivers impaired by substances, two other individuals were reported. One person was reported for drug dealing, and another for carrying a baseball bat without justification. Furthermore, two arrests were made on charges of drug dealing, underscoring the broader scope of the police intervention beyond just traffic infractions.
