PESARO, Italy – A 31-year-old Tunisian man, currently based in Naples, was arrested in Pesaro on the afternoon of Sunday, February 22, after being caught with approximately 500 grams of cocaine.
Arrest Made After Journey from Naples
The individual reportedly agreed to transport a fanny pack containing the illicit substance from Naples to Pesaro in exchange for 500 euros. After traveling by train and bus, he was intercepted by the Carabinieri upon his arrival in Pesaro.
The Carabinieri, acting on intelligence, apprehended the man and discovered the significant quantity of cocaine in his possession. He was immediately taken into custody.
Court Appearance and Detention
Following his arrest for possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking, the 31-year-old appeared before the judge of the Pesaro Court. The judge ordered his transfer to the Villa Fastiggi prison, where he currently remains.
