MILAN, February 13, 2026 – As the Milan Winter Events 2026 officially commence, a significant partnership between Dott, a prominent European shared micromobility operator, and Segway, a global leader in personal mobility, has been announced. This collaboration focuses on bolstering green mobility options by deploying an enhanced fleet of Segway Urban A200 e-bikes, providing sustainable and efficient transportation for all participants throughout the events.

5,000 E-bikes for Milan and Verona Events

Dott has received approval to allocate 5,000 shared e-bikes specifically for the city of Milan during the events. Consequently, Dott has transitioned its entire fleet in Milan to the advanced Segway Urban A200 model. This extensive deployment positions Dott and Segway as crucial contributors to Milan’s green mobility infrastructure during this internationally significant event. The partnership’s reach extends to Verona, the host city for the events’ Closing Ceremony, where Dott will serve as the exclusive e-bike provider, utilizing a fleet composed entirely of Segway e-bikes. This ensures comprehensive coverage of sustainable transportation across all major event locations.

Segway Urban A200 E-bike: Setting a New Standard for User Experience

The Segway Urban A200 e-bike, now in operation in Milan, is the culmination of extensive operational insights, user feedback, and technical collaboration between Dott and Segway. Designed for high-volume operations, the Urban A200 introduces substantial improvements over its predecessors. It promises a smoother, more comfortable ride, coupled with enhanced stability and control, making cycling an easy and attractive daily choice for both residents and visitors navigating Milan’s streets.

A key enhancement is the upgraded battery system, which ensures more reliable daily performance and higher utilization rates. This significantly increases the likelihood of users finding fully charged e-bikes readily available. The Urban A200 also features a versatile “one-size-fits-most” frame, meticulously designed to accommodate riders of varying heights, thereby maximizing comfort and usability.

Zack Yan, Vice General Manager of the Commercial Mobility Division at Segway, commented, “The Urban A200 represents a major milestone in shared e-bike technology. Working closely with Dott, we’ve developed a vehicle that not only meets the rigorous demands of shared fleet operations but also enhances the rider experience in meaningful ways. From integrated phone charging to extended battery capacity, every feature was designed with real-world usage in mind. Seeing our bikes supporting mobility during the events validates our commitment to building micromobility solutions that cities and operators can rely on during their most critical moments.”

The Champion Pass: Making Mobility More Accessible

To ensure mobility remains accessible to everyone during the Games, Dott is introducing a special dedicated fare program: The Champion Pass. This pass is available for purchase directly within the Dott app for just €2.99 per month. It allows for unlimited rides on both e-bikes and scooters, with the first 5 minutes of each ride costing only €0.75. After the initial 5 minutes, a standard discounted rate of €0.10 per minute applies. This pricing structure is designed to make shared micromobility an affordable and accessible choice for navigating the city during its busiest weeks, encouraging more people to opt for e-bikes as a convenient alternative to private cars and other traditional forms of transportation.

Andrea Giaretta, Vice-President of Revenues at Dott, stated, “Our mission has always been to change mobility for good. By introducing the Segway Urban A200 and the Champion Pass simultaneously, we are making travel more efficient for Milanese residents and the many tourists expected in the city. We’re reducing congestion, supporting public transport, and offering a practical option for quickly connecting key points of interest without resorting to private vehicles.”

A Commitment to Green Mobility

The Milan 2026 Winter Events have emphasized sustainability as a core element of their mission. The partnership between Dott and Segway perfectly aligns with this objective. By providing thousands of visitors with convenient and sustainable transportation alternatives, this collaboration effectively demonstrates the viability and effectiveness of shared micromobility systems for major international events.
