The alarm was raised around 11:00 AM when the two robbers, dressed in blue camouflage suits, approached the jewelry store, pretending to be customers. Once inside, one of the bandits pulled out a pistol, forcing the owner to hand over items from the display cases, which they placed into a bag.

The owner, traumatized by the ordeal, collapsed during the robbery. After securing the valuables, the two men attempted to make their getaway on a scooter parked nearby on Via Piemonte. However, the scooter would not start, prompting them to abandon it and continue their escape on foot.

Brave Intervention and Quick Recovery of Stolen Goods

As the bandits fled, the courageous owner, despite her distress, managed to raise an alarm, shouting for help. A nearby barista, hearing her cries, rushed to her aid and attempted to intervene. The robbers reportedly pointed the pistol at the barista before continuing their escape.

In a fortunate turn of events, the owner managed to recover the bag containing the stolen valuables, which the bandits had dropped during their hasty escape. This quick thinking and the barista’s intervention prevented a complete loss of the jewelry.

Police Investigation Underway, Owner Hospitalized

Investigators are now working to reconstruct the events of the robbery. It is not excluded that security camera footage from the area will be acquired to assist in identifying the perpetrators. The owner of the jewelry store was attended to by an Ares 118 ambulance and transported to Policlinico Umberto I for medical checks following her collapse.

This incident has caused significant concern among residents and business owners in the Pinciano district, highlighting the need for increased security measures. The search for the two armed bandits is ongoing, with police forces actively pursuing leads.

The community awaits further developments in this case, hoping for a swift apprehension of those responsible for this brazen daylight robbery.
