NAPLES, May 19, 2026 – Anna Capasso, the acclaimed singer and actress from ‘Mare Fuori – Il Musical,’ is set to star in her musical ‘Women on a Journey – From Naples to Broadway.’ The performance will take place at Teatro Il Piccolo in Naples, Piazzale Tecchio 3, on Thursday, May 21, at 8:30 PM.

An Autobiographical Journey from Naples to Broadway

In this unique show, Anna Capasso will take the stage alone, guiding the audience through a journey of music, words, and emotions. The musical is an autobiographical account of a young girl’s dream to bring her voice, imagination, and talent all the way to Broadway, while steadfastly preserving her Neapolitan roots.

Accompanying her live on the piano will be Ciro Cascino, who is also responsible for the musical direction of the performance. Naples serves as the starting point for an artistic and human journey filled with dreams, sacrifices, and identity. The show features intense interpretations of iconic Neapolitan traditional songs such as ‘I’te vurria vasà’ and ‘Dicitencello vuie,’ alongside timeless international hits like ‘Memory’ and ‘Think.’

Capasso’s Reflection on Her Artistic Path

Anna Capasso, who also directs the show, shared her motivations behind reviving this particular performance. “After ‘Mare Fuori – Il Musical,’ I felt the desire to bring back a show I performed 15 years ago, but now with a completely different maturity and awareness,” she stated.

She elaborated on the personal significance of the production: “Within this story are my Naples, daily life, and that dream I had as a child: to leave my city and reach Broadway through the world of entertainment, without ever losing my roots.”

The Enduring Appeal of Neapolitan Culture

The musical highlights the profound connection between Capasso’s artistic aspirations and her Neapolitan heritage. It underscores how the rich cultural tapestry of Naples has shaped her journey, providing both a foundation and an inspiration for her global ambitions. The inclusion of traditional Neapolitan songs alongside international classics demonstrates the universal appeal of her message and the bridging of cultural divides through music.

The performance promises to be a powerful exploration of identity, ambition, and the unbreakable ties to one’s origins, delivered through Capasso’s compelling stage presence and vocal talent.
