Elderly Man Dies in Violent Naples Car Crash
Naples, June 28 – A 72-year-old man died yesterday morning following a violent collision between two cars on Via Stadera, the road connecting Naples and Casoria. The incident, which occurred at approximately 6:30 AM, involved a Fiat 600 driven by the deceased and a Fiat Panda operated by a 19-year-old, who suffered only minor injuries.
Details of the Fatal Collision
The crash involved the front of the Fiat Panda and the left side of the Fiat 600, which investigators believe may have been attempting a U-turn. The force of the impact was severe, and the 72-year-old driver was rushed to Ospedale del Mare. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after admission.
The 19-year-old driver of the Fiat Panda underwent standard urgent checks for alcohol and drug impairment, the results of which are pending. His driving license has been immediately suspended.
