Milan: Two Brothers Arrested for Sexual Assault and Robbery After Nightclub Outing
Milan, Italy – Two brothers, one a minor and the other 21 years old, have been arrested in Milan in connection with a violent sexual assault and robbery that took place in the early hours of April 8th near Largo La Foppa. The incident occurred after a night out at the Hollywood nightclub, leaving the victim traumatized and her companion injured.
The investigation, conducted by officers from the Garibaldi Venezia police station, led to the identification and arrest of the two Ukrainian-born brothers. The minor is accused of physically assaulting the young woman, while his older brother, now in prison, is charged with threatening and restraining her male companion and a third acquaintance who were present during the attack.
A Desperate Cry for Help
The victim recounted being forcibly dragged for several meters by the minor, despite her desperate attempts to resist. Her cries for help were heard by her friend: “He wants to rape me!” she screamed from a secluded spot near Largo La Foppa. This desperate plea alerted her companion, who rushed to her aid.
According to police reports, the assault occurred around 5:00 AM, after the victim and her friends had left the Hollywood nightclub in Corso Como. The group was heading to an automatic tobacco dispenser when they were approached by the two brothers.
The Attack and Robbery
The victim stated that the two tall, light-skinned brothers, dressed in tracksuits and athletic shoes, initially asked for a cigarette and offered drugs, which the group refused. Suddenly, one of the brothers grabbed her arm and dragged her towards Viale Francesco Crispi, separating her from her friends.
At this point, the minor began to sexually assault the young woman. Her friend, upon reaching her, confronted the assailant, stating, “She is my friend.” The attacker reportedly replied, “She is my friend too, mind your own business.” The friend was then beaten and robbed of his bag, but his intervention caused the two brothers to flee the scene.
Investigation and Arrests
The police were able to identify the suspects through surveillance footage that captured the sequence of events and subsequent investigations. The minor has a history of previous offenses, including personal injury, stalking, resisting a public official, threats, and theft. The 21-year-old brother also has a criminal record, with charges for property damage, carrying weapons, robbery, sexual assault, and stalking, including an incident where he allegedly kissed a sales assistant at a Sephora store against her will.
The older brother has been taken into custody following an arrest warrant issued by investigating judge Angelo Carboni. He is accused of actively and morally participating in the violence against the victim by keeping her friends at bay during the assault.
