Tuscolano War: Chilean Killer Arrested in Morena Villa Raid
Rome, May 7, 2026 – Special Carabinieri units conducted a raid on a villa in the Morena area of Rome, specifically on Via del Fontanile Anagnino, leading to the arrest of a Chilean killer allegedly hired by a clan involved in the ongoing ‘Tuscolano War’. The operation, part of a larger anti-gang crackdown, also resulted in the seizure of four kilograms of hashish, 130 grams of cocaine, and 11,000 euros in cash.
The raid took place as part of a maxi-blitz that saw a total of 24 arrests, including 18 individuals targeted by a precautionary custody order issued by the Rome court at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate (DDA). The additional six arrests, including the Chilean killer, were made in flagrante delicto for drug dealing.
Blitz in Morena Villa: Key Arrests and Seizures
During the operational phase of the precautionary custody order, Carabinieri from the GIS (Special Intervention Group) and the Rome investigative unit stormed a villa near Ciampino, where two dangerous suspects, already subject to the precautionary measure, were found. Alongside them were four other men, including the Chilean national, Kevin Alfonso Caceres Valenzuela, identified as the hired killer.
Valenzuela was reportedly brought directly from Spain by the clan, believed to be linked to the Senese family, to eliminate rivals and silence inconvenient witnesses in what has been described as a fierce gang war. All six men found in the villa were arrested on charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.
Drugs and Cash Seized in the Hideout
Inside the villa, law enforcement discovered a significant quantity of drugs: four kilograms of hashish and 130 grams of cocaine. Furthermore, equipment for cutting and packaging the drugs was found, along with 11,000 euros in cash, believed to be proceeds from illicit activities. A blank-firing pistol, with its red cap removed, was also seized during the search.
The successful operation underscores the ongoing efforts by Carabinieri to dismantle criminal organizations and curb the violence associated with gang warfare in the Rome area. The arrests are expected to significantly disrupt the operations of the involved clans and contribute to restoring order in the affected neighborhoods.
