NAPLES, April 28, 2026 – The Naples Chamber of Commerce has officially approved its final balance sheet for the year 2025, demonstrating a robust financial health with a significant economic surplus and substantial net worth. This approval underscores the institution’s efficient management and commitment to supporting local enterprises.
Strong Financial Performance for 2025
The approved financial statement for 2025 shows an economic surplus of €5,723,655.12. This surplus is a clear indicator of the Chamber’s effective resource redistribution capabilities. Furthermore, the net worth of the Chamber stands at an impressive €196,955,224.60. This figure reflects a management approach focused on maximum prudence, ensuring long-term stability and financial security for the institution.
In addition to these figures, the Chamber of Commerce boasts a liquidity of over €203 million held at the Bank of Italy. The absence of any financial debts provides strategic spending flexibility, enabling rapid intervention and support for local businesses whenever needed-a capability that few other administrations can match. The approval of the balance sheet occurred with only the abstention of the ABI representative.
President Fiola Highlights Achievements and Future Plans
Ciro Fiola, President of the Naples Chamber of Commerce, expressed his satisfaction with the results. “These numbers confirm the extraordinary health of the institution,” he stated. “They also highlight the work done to continue in the path set by our mission: to return the businesses’ money to the businesses.”
President Fiola acknowledged the challenges faced, particularly following an “inappropriate commissariat” that temporarily paralyzed activities. “We had to restart the administrative machine, and in a relatively short time, we achieved flattering results,” he added. He attributed this success to the support of the governance and the Chamber’s employees, who, despite being only 78 staff members against a Ministry of Economic Development (MISE) provision of 180 units due to bureaucratic constraints, represent a virtuous model of efficiency compared to many other Italian realities.
Looking ahead, Fiola announced further initiatives to benefit local businesses. “In addition to the €28 million already allocated through calls for businesses, we intend to redistribute approximately another €6 million from the surplus through similar procedures,” he confirmed.
Detailed Breakdown of Revenues and Expenditures
The Chamber’s revenues for 2025 amounted to approximately €52 million, primarily driven by the annual fee and secretarial rights. On the expenditure side, current charges totaled around €48 million. A notable aspect of the expenditure breakdown is that only 10% was allocated to personnel costs, while a substantial 27% was directly dedicated to economic interventions for the entrepreneurial system. “This is a figure we are particularly proud of, testifying to our operational efficiency in the region,” Fiola concluded, emphasizing the Chamber’s direct impact on the local economy.
This strong financial standing positions the Naples Chamber of Commerce as a key player in fostering economic growth and stability within the Campania region, ready to face future challenges and continue its mission of supporting the local business community.
