Naples will host the exclusive Italian performance of the British band Kasabian on July 24, 2026. As part of the Noisy Fest at Mostra d’Oltremare, the band will present songs from their new album “Act III”, which is set to be released on July 17 and is already available for pre-order. This marks the only Italian stop on their tour, making it one of the most significant musical events of the summer.
Kasabian’s Productive Period Culminates in New Album
The new album follows a particularly prolific period for the band. They began the year collaborating with Calvin Harris on the hit “Release The Pressure.” Further confirming their renewed creative drive is the single “Great Pretender,” which has been in radio rotation since April 10 and is the second track released from the album.
“Great Pretender” – An Anthem of Growth
Written by Serge Pizzorno and produced in collaboration with Mark Ralph, “Great Pretender” is an energetic and engaging anthem that blends pop immediacy with emotional tension. Pizzorno himself explained the song’s meaning, highlighting how it addresses the “imposter syndrome” not as a weakness, but as a sign of growth – a feeling suspended between fear and excitement, similar to what one experiences before stepping onto a stage.
“Great Pretender” follows “Hippie Sunshine,” the first taste of the new work’s sound, and helps define the identity of “Act III,” the band’s ninth studio album. Recorded between The Sergery and Club Ralph, the album consists of ten tracks and three interludes, characterized by a balance of pop melodies, psychedelic guitar nuances, and powerful, impactful choruses.
