Elite Model Look Camp Comes to Rome: Future Top Models Compete for Global Success

Rome, March 27 – The 41st edition of the Elite Model Look Camp, a prestigious scouting event that has launched the careers of supermodels such as Cindy Crawford and Gisele Bündchen, will be held in Rome this July. Fifty young men and women, aged between 16 and 20, selected by the Elite agency, the world’s most influential modeling agency, will participate in a four-day immersive training program, culminating in a final fashion show.

Forty Years of Global Talent Scouting

For four decades, Elite Model Look has been a global platform for discovering and nurturing top modeling talent. With previous editions held in iconic locations like Acapulco (1983), Paris, Marrakech, Forte dei Marmi, Shanghai, and most recently Prague in 2025, Rome now takes its turn as the host city. This year’s camp is organized with the patronage of the Assessorato ai Grandi Eventi and the Italian Trade Agency, marking a significant first for the Italian capital.

An Immersive Experience Towards Global Success

The ultimate prize for the winner of the final show, to be held at the Corsie Sistine within the Complesso di Santo Spirito in Sassia, is a contract with Elite’s extensive network of agencies, guaranteeing global visibility and career opportunities. Before the final runway, participants will engage in an intensive and comprehensive training experience designed to prepare them not only for the event itself but also for the broader challenges and opportunities of a career in fashion.

Pierfrancesco Micara, CEO of Chi Ma, the company organizing the event in Rome, emphasized the holistic approach of the camp. “Not all of these young people will choose to dedicate themselves to fashion long-term, so our focus will be on educational topics that extend beyond the specific industry, such as financial literacy and nutrition,” Micara stated. He also highlighted that the program will include outdoor sports activities and cultural visits, noting, “I believe Rome has always been in the dream suitcase of all of them.”

Intensive Training at Villa Cornetto-Bourlot

The Elite Model Look Bootcamp will run from July 13 to 16 at Villa Cornetto-Bourlot, a magnificent 18th-century residence nestled within the historic park of Tenuta Sant’Antonio in Tivoli. The curriculum includes specialized sessions on photographic shoots, workshops on how to approach castings, and mastering the technical language of fashion. A dedicated walking coach will teach participants the techniques for a flawless runway walk, while media training modules will equip them to handle interviews and public appearances with confidence.

The Art of Scouting and Elite’s Global Reach

Paolo Barbieri, CEO of Elite, shed light on the agency’s vast reach and the unique skill of its scouts. “Elite has approximately five thousand models on its rosters worldwide, and 40% of the professionals who walk for major brands are supplied by us,” Barbieri explained. He expressed gratitude to the scouts, who possess an extraordinary ability to discern subtle details and signs – such as a particular gaze or posture – that transform into top model talent. He cited the example of Bhavitha Mandava, an Indian girl studying architecture in New York who recently closed Chanel’s haute couture show in Paris, as a testament to their keen eye.

Rome’s Growing Role in the Fashion World

The decision to host the Elite Model Look Camp in Rome underscores the city’s increasing prominence in the international fashion landscape. Beyond its historical and cultural allure, Rome is demonstrating its capacity to host major fashion events and contribute to the global industry by nurturing new talent.

Impact on Local Economy and Tourism

The event is expected to generate significant media attention and attract visitors, further boosting Rome’s tourism sector. The presence of international participants, industry professionals, and media will highlight the city’s charm and capacity to host high-profile events, contributing to its economic and cultural vibrancy.
