Milan, March 18, 2026 – A significant new office development is underway in Milan, with plans for a 5,600-square-meter building featuring a prominent terrace overlooking the city’s skyline. Located at Via Parini 6 in the Repubblica area, the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2027. The existing structure on the site, owned by Central Sicaf, will be transformed into this modern office hub, with Covivio overseeing the operation.
Architectural Vision and Design
The design of the new building is spearheaded by Onsitestudio. A key feature of the project is the internal courtyard, which will be reimagined as an access and distribution area directly connected to the main hall. This hall will boast expansive glazed surfaces, creating a bright and welcoming entrance. The interior spaces are being reconfigured to optimize work environments, while the basement level will house additional amenities such as offices, a break area, an auditorium, and various meeting rooms.
Emphasis has also been placed on integrating green spaces throughout the building. Balconies on the interior and a green roof will contribute to a more sustainable and pleasant working atmosphere. A highlight of the design is the accessible terrace on the fifth floor, which will be equipped with a new covering structure, offering panoramic views of Milan.
Sustainability and Modernization at the Forefront
The project includes a comprehensive renovation of the building’s facades. This involves enlarging existing openings, adding balconies, and replacing windows to enhance both aesthetics and energy efficiency. All technological systems within the building will be fully upgraded to incorporate high-efficiency solutions and integrate renewable energy sources. This commitment to sustainability is further underscored by the building’s design to achieve LEED Gold and WELL Silver certifications, reflecting a dedication to environmental performance and occupant well-being.
Impact on the Milanese Landscape
The development at Via Parini 6 represents a significant investment in Milan’s commercial real estate sector, underscoring the city’s continuous growth as a business hub. While no tenants have been announced yet, the prime location and modern amenities are expected to attract a diverse range of companies seeking premium office space in the heart of the city.
This project aligns with a broader trend of urban renewal and modernization in Milan, where new constructions and renovations are consistently reshaping the cityscape. The focus on sustainability and employee well-being in the design reflects contemporary demands for office environments that are not only functional but also environmentally responsible and conducive to productivity.
The completion of this building by the end of 2027 will add another landmark to Milan’s evolving skyline, further cementing its reputation as a dynamic and forward-thinking European city.
