Naples, March 12 – The Order of Doctors, Surgeons, and Dentists of Naples and its province has announced a series of events dedicated to the history of medicine and the illustrious past of the Parthenopean Medical School. The first in this series will be an event titled “The History of Odontology in Naples from 1900 to Today,” scheduled for Saturday, March 14.
A Journey Through Neapolitan Odontology
This initiative aims to trace the evolution of Neapolitan odontology by highlighting the key figures who have shaped its scientific, cultural, and professional development. The event seeks to foster a dialogue between historical memory and contemporary perspectives within the discipline.
The event will commence at 9:00 AM at the Sala del Lazzaretto (former Ospedale della Pace), located at Via Tribunali 227 in Naples. It is accredited for ECM (Continuing Medical Education) with 4 training credits.

Following institutional greetings from prominent figures, the first scientific session will begin. Dr. Bruno Zuccarelli, President of the Order of Doctors of Naples, Dr. Pietro Rutigliani, President of the Register of Dentists, and Dr. Gennaro Rispoli, Director of Health Arts, will deliver opening remarks.
The scientific session will be chaired by Dr. Carla Cassese and moderated by Dr. Andrea Montella and Dr. Antonio Di Bellucci. The inaugural presentation will be a lecture titled “Vincenzo Guerini: A Neapolitan in the World,” delivered by Professor Paolo Zampetti.
