Far-Right ‘Alliance for Peace and Freedom’ Rally Scheduled for Rome

Rome, March 13 – Forza Nuova has announced a new far-right rally in the capital, scheduled for March 14, bringing together ‘black’ leaders from across Europe. The event, dubbed ‘Alliance for Peace and Freedom,’ will take place at an as-yet undisclosed hotel in Rome.

European Far-Right Leaders Converge in Rome

The ‘Alliance for Peace and Freedom’ event is set to feature prominent figures such as Nick Griffin and Roberto Fiore, alongside other national leaders from Serbia, the Netherlands, Greece, Spain, Germany, France, and Romania. This conference marks the third such gathering in recent months, following previous meetings in Madrid and Athens, according to a statement from Forza Nuova’s secretariat.

The message from the organizers emphasizes the APF’s increasingly distinct role, positioning itself as separate from political parties and governments that, in their view, are pushing for the war in Ukraine, supporting what they call ‘Zionist genocide,’ and imposing treaties like the one with Mercosur, which they claim will poison European populations. This is not the first time Forza Nuova has organized such meetings in Italy.

A ‘Grand Training Project’ Announced

Forza Nuova also announced the launch of a ‘grand training project’ during the Rome event. This initiative is intended to involve ‘revolutionary cadres and militants’ from Europe, as well as ‘American national-Christian circles.’

Last year, a similar gathering in Rome was planned for January 26 at the Hotel St. Martin on Via di San Martino della Battaglia. However, upon learning the nature of the event, the hotel withdrew its offer to host the fascists. Forza Nuova is now making another attempt, underscoring the significance of this new training project.

Controversy and Previous Attempts

The announcement of the rally has already generated discussion, particularly given the historical context of such gatherings in Italy. The previous attempt to host a similar event in Rome was met with resistance, leading to the cancellation of the venue. The current undisclosed location suggests an effort by the organizers to circumvent similar issues.

The event is expected to draw scrutiny from various groups and authorities, given its far-right nature and the involvement of prominent figures associated with such ideologies across Europe. The focus on ‘remigration’ and the assertion that ‘Rome does not work, the enemy is the foreigner’ are themes previously associated with the movement’s agenda in the capital.

Broader Context of Far-Right Activity

This event is part of a broader pattern of far-right activity across Europe, with groups like Forza Nuova seeking to establish international alliances and promote their ideologies. The ‘Alliance for Peace and Freedom’ platform serves as a vehicle for these groups to coordinate efforts and disseminate their messages, often focusing on themes of national sovereignty, anti-immigration, and traditional values.

The inclusion of leaders from various European countries highlights the transnational nature of these movements and their aspirations to influence political discourse on a wider scale. The emphasis on a ‘training project’ suggests a long-term strategy to cultivate and expand their base of active members and sympathizers.

Authorities will likely be monitoring the event closely to ensure public order and to address any potential violations of laws pertaining to hate speech or incitement to violence. The historical sensitivity surrounding fascist gatherings in Italy adds another layer of complexity to the situation.
