38-Year-Old Arrested in Naples for Drug Trafficking and Ammunition Possession
Naples, March 8 – State Police have arrested a 38-year-old Neapolitan man with a criminal record, including specific offenses, for illicit drug possession intended for dealing. The individual was also reported for illegal possession of common firearm and war ammunition, and for driving without a license, as this violation had been repeated within a two-year period.
Police Intervention in Calata Santi Cosma e Damiano
The arrest was carried out by agents from the Decumani Police Station. During routine patrols in Calata Santi Cosma e Damiano, located in the Pendino district, officers stopped and inspected the suspect. He was found to be in possession of 3,100 euros in cash, divided into banknotes of various denominations. Furthermore, the officers confirmed that the 38-year-old did not possess a valid driving license.
Discovery of Drugs and Ammunition During Home Search
Based on reasonable suspicion that further evidence related to the ongoing proceedings might be found, the police proceeded to search the suspect’s residence. Inside the home, officers discovered 28 sachets of cocaine, weighing approximately 11 grams, a packet of marijuana, a precision scale, various materials for packaging drugs, 10 cartridges of 7.65 caliber, one 22 caliber cartridge, and 6 cartridges of 38 caliber.
For these reasons, the suspect was immediately arrested by the operating personnel and taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing to determine the full extent of his activities and any potential connections to organized crime.
