Naples Prepares for America’s Cup with Major Hospitality Investments
Naples, 26 February 2026 – The Neapolitan tourism industry is experiencing significant growth, with three major luxury accommodation projects slated for completion by 2027. This expansion is largely driven by the anticipation of the America’s Cup, an event expected to attract high-ranking visitors and sailing crews who will reside in the city for months.
Caracciolo Hospitality Group Takes Over Miramare Hotel
The Caracciolo Hospitality Group is expanding its portfolio by taking over the management of the Miramare hotel on Via Nazario Sauro. Through an agreement with Essenza Hospitality, led by Giovanni Paone, Caracciolo will exclusively manage the property. Renovation work, which began in mid-2025, is projected to last approximately two years. It has already been announced that a multi-starred chef, Vincenzo Guarino, will oversee one of the hotel’s restaurants. The Caracciolo Group’s existing properties include the de Bonart, Palazzo Caracciolo Hilton, and the Grand Hotel Telese Terme.
Costanzo Jannotti Pecci, CEO of the Caracciolo Group, stated, “The Miramare represents our vision of elegant, authentic hospitality, capable of engaging with the city’s cultural and scenic heritage. We continue to invest in destinations that showcase the beauty of the region and the future of Italian hotel management.”
Oriana Homèl to Open Luxury Apartments on Via Depretis
Oriana Homèl, a company specializing in urban hospitality, is set to open 24 luxury apartments at Via Depretis 62. The building, which is protected by the Superintendence, is undergoing conservative restoration, with the opening scheduled for the first quarter of 2027. Domenico D’Oriano, brand manager for Oriana Homèl, commented, “Naples is our city, and we couldn’t wait to offer our concept of hospitality here. In view of the America’s Cup, we believe Via Depretis is the ideal location to welcome tourists, professionals, and travelers seeking elegance, autonomy, and smart services.” The apartments will feature private kitchens, a virtual reception, and an intelligent customer care system, combining the independence of an apartment with the efficiency and security of a hotel.
Rocco Forte Hotels to Debut in Palazzo Caravita di Sirignano
The most ambitious project involves the arrival of a Rocco Forte Hotels property in Palazzo Caravita di Sirignano, located on the Riviera di Chiaia, also in 2027. This historic palace, which housed the Tirrenia shipping company from 1937 to 2017, was acquired in 2018 by the Colella family, who immediately expressed their intention to transform it into a luxury hotel. Nunzio and Anna Colella, owners of the fashion brands Gutteridge and Alcott, have partnered with Rocco Forte Hotels, investing 60 million euros in the project. This will be the fourteenth property in the Rocco Forte Hotels collection worldwide.
Architect Michele Bönan is overseeing the meticulous restoration of Palazzo Sirignano. The hotel will feature 46 suites, a rooftop pool with views of Capri, two restaurants, private gardens, a bar, and a large spa. The aim is to maintain the atmosphere of an aristocratic residence while offering an extraordinary hotel experience to discerning international tourists. Project leaders emphasize that this new luxury five-star hotel will fill a unique niche in Naples’ hospitality landscape.
These significant investments underscore Naples’ growing appeal as a high-end tourist destination and its readiness to host major international events like the America’s Cup. The city’s hotel and hospitality sector is actively preparing to meet the anticipated surge in demand, promising an enhanced experience for future visitors.
