ROME – Sant’Eugenio Hospital in Rome has officially inaugurated its new Emergency Medicine Unit, a crucial development aimed at enhancing healthcare services for the region’s citizens. The newly opened Emergency Medicine Unit adds 10 sub-intensive therapy beds and 10 ordinary advanced care beds. Significant improvements include the installation of a new air treatment unit, replacing the previous aeration system. This state-of-the-art system ensures at least six air changes per hour in each patient room and features absolute HEPA H14 filtration for both incoming and outgoing air. This advanced microbial control system enhances protection for critical patients and improves overall safety within the hospital environment.
High-Complexity Sub-Intensive Care Facilities
For the sub-intensive therapy section, isolation transformers and new isolation control systems have been installed. These upgrades facilitate high-complexity clinical practices under maximum safety conditions.
