Rome, February 15, 2026 – The Eternal City is reaffirming its status as a cultural capital with a packed schedule of events from February 13 to 19, 2026. Promoted by Roma Capitale and the Capitoline Superintendence for Cultural Heritage, the program includes a diverse range of exhibitions, guided tours, meetings, and family initiatives across the city’s Civic Museums and historical venues. A particular highlight is the Valentine’s Day weekend, which delves into the multifaceted theme of love through art, history, and science.

“Magic Lanterns” and the Spotlight on Photography

Starting February 14, the Carlo Bilotti Museum at Villa Borghese will host the new exhibition “Magic Lanterns. Photographs from the Valerio de Paolis Collection.” This exhibition offers visual journeys through Italian and international photography, presenting a selection of works from the De Paolis collection to the public for the first time. The exhibition will run until September 6, 2026, enriching Rome’s contemporary exhibition landscape.

From Ancient Greece to Imperial Rome

On Sunday, February 15, free guided tours continue for the major exhibition “Greece in Rome” at the Capitoline Museums, Palazzo Caffarelli. More than 150 works, including sculptures, ceramics, bronzes, and previously unseen artifacts, illustrate the Greek legacy in ancient Rome. The exhibition is enhanced with multimedia content that intertwines archaeology and digital technologies.

RomAmor: Love in Museums and Across the City

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, “RomAmor” returns with a program of tours and itineraries dedicated to love. The events kicked off on Friday, February 13, with a special visit to the Museum of the Walls and a Street Art itinerary in Pigneto. On Saturday, February 14, love intertwines with history at the Museum of the Roman Republic and Garibaldi’s Memory, with myths recounted at the Museum of Rome, and with artistic inspirations at the Gallery of Modern Art. On Sunday, February 15, from the Villa of Maxentius to the Museum of Casal de’ Pazzi, love engages with archaeology and science.

House Museums, Conferences, and Urban Itineraries

February 14 also marks the return of visits to the Alberto Moravia House Museum, while on Tuesday, February 17, the “Rome Narrates…” series will address the theme of accessibility in cultural venues. Furthermore, “Rome, Your Cultural Guide” continues with archaeological visits to the Tombs of Via Statilia and the Tomb of the Scipios, alongside appointments reserved for Roma MIC Card holders and Roman Walks dedicated to the Roman Carnival.

Activities for Families and Children

Significant attention is given to younger audiences with “aMICi Kids,” featuring prehistoric treasure hunts, creative visits to ancient art museums, and workshops inspired by classical myths. These activities are designed to engage families and children in educational and entertaining experiences.

Under the Stars at the Planetarium

The Rome Planetarium continues its program of astronomical shows for adults and children. From “The Sky of Lovers” to the interstellar journeys of the Voyager probes, and interactive shows for the little ones, the universe takes center stage in narratives that combine popular science and wonder.

The program may be subject to change. For information and reservations, please call 060608. Access modalities and ticket prices are available on the institutional websites of the Rome Civic Museums and the Capitoline Superintendence for Cultural Heritage.
