Rome, February 11, 2026 – The highly anticipated “Roma al Lavoro” (Rome at Work) job day, promoted by the Rome Capital administration, is set to return on Thursday, February 12th. The event, hosted at Roma Tre University from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM, aims to facilitate a direct connection between individuals seeking employment and companies actively recruiting, reinforcing the public sector’s role in fostering quality employment development.
Connecting Demand and Supply in the Job Market
This initiative is spearheaded by the Department for School, Work, and Training and organized by the CoL network of the Training and Work Directorate – Department of School, Work, and Professional Training. Key collaborators include Ebtl (Bilateral Tourism Board of Lazio), Ebit (Bilateral Tertiary, Distribution, and Services Board of Lazio), and Sviluppo Lavoro Italia, with the patronage of the Rome Chamber of Commerce, Unindustria Roma, and Cna Roma. The primary objective is to create a tangible platform for job seekers and employers to meet and interact.
Significant Participation Expected
Following the successful editions of last year, which saw over 3,000 individuals connect with companies, this year’s “Roma al Lavoro” is poised for even greater impact. More than 40 companies are confirmed to participate, and an impressive 3,400 job seekers have already registered. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in pre-selection interviews, submit their resumes, and attend training seminars focused on employment topics and professional guidance.
Assessing Rome’s Employment Landscape
Claudia Pratelli, Councillor for School, Work, and Training, emphasized the importance of this event. “While Rome currently boasts some of the highest employment levels ever recorded, this statistic alone doesn’t tell the full story. On one hand, too many people remain excluded from the job market, and on the other, many businesses struggle to find the skilled professionals they need. It is within this gap that the challenge for public employment policies lies,” Pratelli stated.
She added, “‘Roma al Lavoro’ was created precisely to address this contradiction, serving as a public steering tool capable of connecting supply and demand, guiding the market towards stable, dignified, and quality employment, while simultaneously combating precarious work dynamics.”
Commitment to Fair Labor Practices
The participating companies are established and reputable entities that are committed to ensuring fair working conditions and adhering to national collective agreements signed by the most representative trade unions. These companies have been carefully selected based on clear criteria defined by Rome Capital, guaranteeing a reliable and ethical environment for job seekers.
This job day represents a crucial effort by Rome Capital to actively engage with the local job market, fostering opportunities and promoting a more stable and equitable employment landscape for its citizens.
