Rome, February 1, 2026 – An illegal nightclub in the heart of Rome has been preventatively seized by authorities due to severe safety and hygiene violations. The administrator of the company operating the club has been reported to the judicial authorities.
Investigation Uncovers Unlicensed Operations and Hazardous Conditions
The operation, carried out by agents from the Administrative Division of the Rome Police Headquarters, revealed a series of alarming irregularities that endangered patrons. The establishment, masquerading as a legitimate nightlife venue, was operating without the necessary permits and presented significant risks concerning safety and sanitation.

Further inspections uncovered severely inadequate structural and hygienic-sanitary conditions. Several shisha pipes with burning coals were found in use, some of which were being heated by a stove in a back room, dangerously close to numerous electrical outlets. The Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Rome concurred with the agents’ conclusions regarding the potential danger to public safety posed by the unauthorized establishment. Based on these assessments, the preliminary investigation judge approved and validated the seizure.
