Milan, January 14 – Rosticceria Palazzi, a well-known local gastronomy, is expanding its presence in Milan with the inauguration of a new location in Piazza Risorgimento 4, adjacent to the Sissi pastry shop. This expansion follows the successful relaunch of its historic Via Plinio branch two years ago.

New Ownership and Vision for Comfort Food

The Rosticceria Palazzi brand was acquired two years ago by Juliette Bellavita and Marco Magnocavallo, a digital entrepreneur. Magnocavallo shared his vision for the business: “After selling Tannico, the online wine platform, we noticed a neighborhood rotisserie in Via Plinio had closed due to the owner’s passing. We decided to buy, renovate, and relaunch it. Our idea is that there is significant space, now and in the future, for comfort food – traditional cuisine based on classic dishes.”

The menu at Rosticceria Palazzi features approximately twenty offerings, including beloved Italian classics such as lasagna, eggplant parmesan, vitello tonnato, roasted chicken, and Russian salad. Additionally, the establishment offers some French specialties, like coq au vin, chicken marinated in wine. These dishes are designed to be enjoyed with a glass of wine, with a wide selection available.

Piazza Risorgimento: A Bistrot and Gastronomy Concept

The new Rosticceria Plinio in Piazza Risorgimento introduces a dual concept with two separate spaces: a gastronomy section for takeaway orders and a bistrot for on-site dining. The bistrot can accommodate about twenty guests indoors and an equal number in its outdoor seating area. The establishment’s sign proudly declares it a “bar à vin & lasagna.”

The bistrot operates for both lunch and dinner, remaining open until 11:00 PM. The gastronomy section is open daily from 9:30 AM to 9:00 PM, with the exception of Thursdays, when the neighborhood market is held.

Accessible Pricing and Inauguration Event

Magnocavallo emphasized the accessible pricing structure: “At the bistrot, with table service, lasagna costs 10 euros. We can say that for 25 euros, one can enjoy an appetizer, a first course, and a glass of wine.”

The official inauguration party, open to the public, is scheduled for Wednesday, January 14th, starting at 6:00 PM.

Context: Milan’s Evolving Culinary Scene

This expansion comes amidst a dynamic culinary landscape in Milan. Recent news highlights include the relocation of Poporoya, a historic sushi bar, to a larger space, and the sad passing of Italo Manca, the iconic owner of ‘La Libera’ restaurant in Brera. The city also continues to be a hub for cultural events, with Laura Pausini announced to sing at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Olympics at San Siro stadium.

Rosticceria Palazzi’s growth reflects a broader trend of businesses adapting and expanding to meet consumer demands for quality and convenience in Milan’s vibrant food sector.
