Rome, January 8 – The Cgil office in the Primavalle district of Rome was targeted by an act of intimidation, with five bullet holes discovered on its windows and shutters. The incident was reported by Cgil Roma e Lazio on their Facebook page, stating that the bullet holes were found this morning upon the office’s reopening.

Investigation Underway After Attack on Cgil Office

According to the statement, one bullet hole was found for each of the five windows and shutters of the trade union’s headquarters. The Cgil immediately requested the intervention of law enforcement and filed a complaint, making themselves fully available to investigators to quickly identify those responsible for this serious act. The trade union emphasized that only their office was affected, with no other nearby premises showing similar damage, and no claims of responsibility have been made.

Cgil Expresses Concern Over Hostile Climate

“What happened deeply concerns us, also in relation to a constant climate of hostility and delegitimization of our trade union organization,” stated Cgil Roma e Lazio.
